Snapware launched in 1994 around one idea: a lid that snaps. Four locking tabs, a silicone gasket, and a container you could drop in a lunch bag without thinking about it. That snap-lock lid is still the reason people keep coming back.
The Total Solutions line covers most of what a household actually needs — single containers in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.5 and 8.5 cups; mixed sets for meal-prep weeks; cereal canisters that actually fit on a pantry shelf; and dedicated carriers for cupcakes and deviled eggs that show up to potlucks intact. Most of the glass is still made in the USA.
If you've owned a Snapware container long enough to lose a lid, the replacement lids are sold separately — teal, juniper green, the usual gaskets — so a worn part doesn't retire the whole container. That's the thing reviewers mention most often: years in, the bases are still fine, and a $10 lid pack puts the set back together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes — the four locking tabs press the silicone-gasket lid against the rim to seal in liquid. Soups, sauces and dressings stay put inside a lunch bag. For best results, wipe the rim dry before snapping the lid down so the gasket seats properly.
